Overview

Schedule: Schedule: Mon -Fri: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care and clerical activities in a very fast paced environment to assist physicians, nursing and clerical personnel. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Administers medications as ordered under the supervision of the licensed practitioners and within CHLA policy. Process tests as ordered according to work area specific needs and requirements. Accurately obtains, enter and retrieve objective clinical data, E.g., vital signs, height, weight, vision screening and other documentation as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ year experience working with pediatric speciality care patients. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required. California Medical Assistant certification preferred. American Heart Associate CPR required.

Pay Scale Information

$37,232.00-$61,953.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
