Join Our Leadership Team as a PreOp/PACU RN Supervisor.

At Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated RN Supervisor to lead our PreOp/PACU nursing team. In this role, you will uphold the highest standards of nursing practice while fostering a culture centered around patient safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Patient Care Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the unit, ensuring efficient daily operations.
Manage staffing plans, ensuring optimal coverage to support high-quality care delivery.
Oversee bed placement technology, patient transfers, and discharge processes, ensuring timely and safe transitions throughout the continuum of care.
Engage nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, emphasizing seamless hand-offs to the next level of care.

This role is ideal for an experienced RN ready to step into leadership, offering a fast-paced and supportive environment that promotes professional growth.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of critical care or PACU experience in an acute care setting.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Leadership: At least one (1) year of leadership experience, such as serving as a Charge RN.
Licensure & Certifications: Current California RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team development skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and follow through on responsibilities.
Leadership Capability: Proven ability to exercise authority and responsibility in managing services, aligned with the organization’s scope and the complexity of patient care.
Clinical Competency: Must possess all required competencies and certifications expected of a Charge RN within the unit.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with electronic charting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Experience: Experience with EPIC charting software.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Licensure & Certifications: Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association or may be obtained within 6 months.

Position Pay Range: $62.50-$87.10/hour
