Job Summary and Qualifications
The Day Surgery/PreOp Registered Nurse will provide professional surgical nursing pre-operative care to patients utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to assure quality health care. The Day Surgery Nurse assumes responsibility for ensuring effective communication with the other Registered Nurses, surgeons, patients, and their families, and the other members of the surgical team.
What you will do in this role:
You will engage in pre and intraoperative interventions, including but not limited to: vascular, neuro, spinal, thoracic, GI, GU, GYN, orthopedic, skeletal/ muscular conditions and diseases, etc.
Qualifications - External
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
