DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Nurse Educator for Ambulatory Services serves as a general expert clinician educator researcher, consultant and leader for the nursing staff, patients’ families and members of multi-disciplinary health care teams. Collaborates with the nursing leadership team and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure cost effective professional practice standards within patient populations based in best practices and evidence. Coordinates nursing orientation, competence, and curriculum development efforts system wide. These positions will support education for all of the Ambulatory RNs, LVNs and MAs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Five (5+) or more years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two (2) years recent professional Nurse Educator or similar experience.
Experience and proven success in developing and delivering clinical nursing education and training material for orientation, class training and skills/competency learning and leadership development.
Evidence of system wide nursing projects with positive nursing and/or patient outcomes.
Evidence of presentations of professional work such as publications and presentations.
Proficient with information systems and computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to work effectively in a team environment and with patients and their families.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Certificate within area of specialty.
- Two (2) years or more of recent ambulatory/outpatient clinical RN experience.
- Articulate 360 learning platform experience.
- Epic EMR experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $128,800 - $252,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $61.69 - $120.79
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
