The Wyoming Retirement Center is seeking a motivated LPN to provide quality health care to persons with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home-like setting. Our mission is to stabilize and help the persons we care for attain and maintain their highest functional level.

- Provides professional nursing services to residents in chronic and acute care settings.
- Performs nursing assessments, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Assists patients in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
- Trains and assigns work to CNAs.
PREFERENCES: Preference may be given to those individuals who have six (6) months of experience in a long-term care setting.
New graduates are welcome to apply.KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.
- Knowledge of medication, administration, and complex mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.
- Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
- Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems and diseases, and behavioral issues.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to health care and Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Knowledge of and ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations.
- Knowledge of and ability to use good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Wyoming
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Wyoming
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: - Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
- Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights to about 50 lbs.
- Work holidays, evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.
