Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Per Diem

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that puts patient care first while also having the opportunity to grown, learn, and advance in your career. This is a per diem position with opportunities to pick up shifts on day (7am - 3:30pm), evening (3pm - 11:30pm), or overnight (11pm - 7:30am) shifts on weekdays or weekends.

Arbour Hospital is an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission
Process inquiry and referral calls and respond to request for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission
Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient
Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources

Qualifications

Requirements

Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts
Education: BSN Preferred
Experience: 2 years of psychiatric experience required. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
