Job Summary

The Ideal candidate would have both Pediatric Experience as an RN as well as Oncology RN experience.

The Registered Nurse functions as a member of the healthcare team in a manner consistent with their scope of practice in Pennsylvania in concert with policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of care provided, and patient response to interventions. #STC

BSN Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Experience

Oncology Experience
Pediatric RN Experience is strongly preferred

Certification and Licensure

PA Registered Nurse License
BLS Certification

About St. Christopher's Hospital for Children

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

St. Christopher's has more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, combining top-notch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the only Verified Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. St. Christopher’s is a Magnet® designated hospital and was recognized as a Women’s Choice Award Best Children’s Hospital.

5 South: This Pediatric Oncology unit has 7 beds. The unit treats patients in the ages of infancy, to those yet to transition to adult care. Patients on this unit are receiving Oncology treatment for various pediatric cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, osteosarcoma and brain tumors as well as those who require bone marrow transplants. The acuity mix for this unit is higher than the typical acuity for most Med/Surg units. All RN’s on the unit receive onsite chemotherapy certification within 6 months of hire. A great unit with the opportunity to learn a lot about Pediatric Oncology and work with an incredible population of patients and skilled Oncology nurses!
