Serenity Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our on-call team serving patients and families in Lancaster, York, and Dauphin Counties. This is a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, providing a great work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Position Overview:
As an On-Call Hospice RN, you will be the clinical point of contact for our patients and families during after-hours. You’ll triage incoming calls, conduct in-person visits when needed, manage symptoms, perform death pronouncements, and occasionally handle after-hours admissions. You’ll be supported by a compassionate team and work in a culture that values teamwork, communication, and dignity at the end of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to patient and family calls during after-hours.
Triage calls to determine appropriate level of care needed.
Conduct in-person visits as necessary for symptom management or support.
Perform death pronouncements and provide compassionate support to families.
Facilitate after-hours hospice admissions when appropriate.
Document timely and accurately using our EMR.

Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Minimum 1 year of hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage urgent situations with calm and compassion.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Must be able to commit to a 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
