Position highlights

Position: Surgical Technologist
Hourly Pay Range:$22.00 - $37.29. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $24.86 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks
Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Hours: 7am-3:30pm / 6.30 am - 3 pm, Rotating weekends, ON CALL
Required Travel: No

What you will do:

Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.
Adheres to principles of asepsis; appropriately handles any break that may occur in sterile technique.
Performs efficient transitioning of supplies, instruments and equipment from one patient to the next in collaboration with the surgical team.
Handles specimens according to procedures.
Stocks operating room to par levels. Checks specialty items and reports shortages to appropriate individual.

What you will need:

Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience
Certification in surgical technology preferred
