Responsibilities*
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients before and after their cardiac cath or Electrophysiology procedure including patients having Acute MI patients, heart failure, ACS, Pulmonary Hypertension, device implants, ablations, valve surgery, vascular surgery and cardiovascular surgery.
- Care for patients during Phase 1, 2 and 3 of recovery from General Anesthesia, MAC sedation and IV moderate sedation in both the RR/Obs and Hybrid PACU areas.
- Perform bedside procedures such as Tilt Table Tests.
- Coordinate and participate with all members of the health care team including technical staff, physician staff and nursing from other areas.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Required Qualifications*
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with 2 years of recent ICU, PACU, or ED experience within the last 3 years.
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 experience
- Experience with monitoring arrhythmias, hemodynamic pressures, emergent management of the cardiac patients and working knowledge of emergency cardiac medications.
- Experience with conscious sedation and airway management.
- Current ACLS certification

Desired Qualifications*
- Cardiac ICU, SICU, ER, or PACU experience within the past 3 years.
- Previous EP/Cath Lab experience or cared for Cath/EP patients.
- Wide variety of computer skills including Word and Excel.
- Experience with Tilt Table Testing
- Structural Heart Experience
- Access site management
Work Schedule
- 0.9) FTE 36 hours/per week. Shift: day/ night rotating 7am-730pm or 7pm-730am; varies by need
- No Holidays and No Call Required; 1 Saturday per schedule
- Location: Cardiovascular Center - CPU Recovery
