We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as the Director of Nursing (DON) at our 5 Star Skilled Nursing facility near Watertown, South Dakota.

Relocation Assistance available if required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and confident, hands-on Director of Nursing that will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Nursing Department. In this important role as the Director of Nursing, you will work closely with highly qualified Unit Managers and the Administrator to drive the overall success of the facility.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

A current, unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse (R.N.) license (or Compact State R.N. license)
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a long-term care setting required
Prior Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Leadership competencies including developed interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to inspire and operate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities:

As a Director of Nursing, you are the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting, and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.
