Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor

Essential Requirements for RN Supervisor Evaluates the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents. Reviews residents care plans, assures plans are followed and documents resident medical records. Supervises care provided by the Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Nursing Assistants assigned to the unit, providing intervention, education, and assignment adjustments. Collaborates with Director of Nursing and/or Assistant Directors of Nursing with any changes in care or issues that may arise. Prepares and administers medication and treatments as needed. Provides and/or assists charge nurses with necessary wound care treatments as ordered. Consults with physicians. Receives and records orders as required. Checks crash cart, med carts, supply room to ensure proper supplies are in place and ready to use. Chart checks for new admissions and reviews orders as received. Provides assistance to charge nurses and CNAs with turning, lifting, bathing, ADLs, etc. Ensures orders are implemented and carried out appropriately. What we require: Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license Current/active CPR certification required. Long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Essential Requirements for Charge Nurse Evaluates the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents. Certified Medication Aid (CMA) M-F 2-10

The Certified Medication Aide roles is to assist the licensed nurse (RN or LPN/LVN) in providing safe and ethical care for clients—that is, administering prescribed drugs and completing other delegated nursing tasks allowed by state law. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and some mechanical equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of patient conditions and elements. The noise level is moderate to quiet. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position regularly requires 8-hour shifts and occasional weekend work. Required Education and Experience 1. High school diploma. 2. At least one year of Healthcare industry experience preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1. Medication Aide certification. 2. Demonstrated experience with production of specialized materials and documents. 3. Proofreading and editing skills.
