Nursing Student Extern I Per Diem Nights Position Summary

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.

THE NURSING STUDENT EXTERN I PER DIEM NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and upon completion of first clinical rotation

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION: CPR
