Position Summary: 20 Hours, Monday- Friday, Variable Day Shift based upon testing schedule. Cross Campus position for Haverhill and Methuen.

Summary:

The Stress Testing RN provides supervision of the Cardiac Exercise Test to include the following: Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imagine (exercise and pharmacological) under the direct supervision of a physician. This position records and evaluates the professional nursing care provided to patients in the Nuclear Imaging and Cardiology Department for ages 18 to geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and performs stress test on Quinton treadmill systems.
Administers pharmacological stressing medications, following established departmental protocols, including completion of proper documentation. Administers reversing drugs according to Cardiologist’s instruction. Administers medications to Nuclear Medicine patients in accordance with established protocols.
Evaluates patients’ condition on a continuing basis. Records and reports collected data to the appropriate providers of the health care team. Establishes and maintains effective and supportive relationships with patients/families and physicians.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience: Previous Cardiac Care preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current nursing license in Massachusetts required.
- BLS and ACLS required.
