RN Maternal Float Tier 1A (Mother/Baby, NSCU, + the Children's Unit)

Full Time - 0.9 FTE

Day Shift - 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Mother/Baby, Neonatal Special Care Unit (NSCU), and Children's Unit, ensuring age-appropriate, holistic care tailored to the unique needs of each patient and family.
Seamlessly transition between units, demonstrating clinical skills in neonatal resuscitation, pediatric care, and postpartum recovery while adhering to each unit's specific protocols and standards of care.
Actively coordinate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams across the maternal-child continuum to ensure continuity of care, prompt referrals, and patient/family education, while fostering a safe and supportive care environment.

Qualifications

Education:

Diploma from an RN program.

Licenses/Certifcations:

Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of Iowa and Illinois. Must apply within 30 days for licensure in secondary state.
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must obtain within 120 days of hire and maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
