Nurse Educator-Emergency Department
The Nurse Educator plans and implements educational programs in conjunction with the Department Director and/or the Education Director. Assists with evaluating the clinical competency of the nursing department staff. Works with the newly hired nurses in the clinical setting during their orientation period. Coordinates the preceptorship of the new nursing graduates.
Essentials Duties
Must have an understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning
Have the ability to communicate clearly with both professional and non-professional employees
Generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees
Qualifications - Five years of full time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting
- Five years of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree, with Master’s preferred
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALs (AHA)
