Overview

M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Woodwinds Heart Clinic located in Woodbury, MN. Join MHealth Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The MHealth Fairview Woodwinds Heart Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic hours are 7:30AM to 5PM Monday - Friday, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!

This position is eligible for a $2000 Sign On Bonus!

This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period) opening..

Responsibilities Job Description

To be successful the Medical Assistant must:

Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures
Gather information and documents to support the patient visit
Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines
Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.
Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.
AAMA Certification is preferred.

Ability to adapt to change and engage in ongoing process improvement
Flexibility to work at other sites is encouraged
