What You Should Know About the Nurse Practitioner Position:
- Hours are 8:00-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Practice Management
Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner is a mid-level provider within outpatient clinic that provides compassionate and quality clinical care for patients in the areas of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Master’s Degree: Nursing-FNP (Acute Care if required to work in hospital).
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training as a Nurse Practitioner (Family Practice or Acute Care if working in hospital) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required.
- Current RN Licensure by AR State Board of Nursing.
- Current Certification from AACN, AANP or ANCC based on scope of work providing.
- Current National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Minimum two years-experience as Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, CMS, federal/state laws governing Physician Assistants, and basic coding/billing rules.
- Skill in case management, crisis intervention, emergency response, community resourcing related to social determinant to health.
- Can exercise independent judgement and problem solve while working independent or under direct supervision.
- BLS – Required prior to patient care and no later than 30 days after hire.
- ACLS – Required within 6 months of hire.
- This position is a safety sensitive position.
