ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Certified Medical Assistant Floater for our offices in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey.

This position requires travel to our offices in Staten Island, Bay Ridge West, Dyker Heights, Bridgewater, Woodbridge, Somerset, East Brunswick, Old Bridge, Shrewsbury. Coverage can also include additional locations not mentioned above.

This position is eligible for travel reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Prepares patients for their appointment by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room
Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; sterilizing medical instruments; and telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies.
Educates patients by providing medication and instructions; answering questions.
Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
Keeps inventory of supplies.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.

Must be able to work in independently
NextGen is a plus
Previous experience is a plus
Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required, with preference given to candidates holding certifications such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:
- Five years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Bachelor's degree in Biology
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Schedule can vary based on the office/physician that you will be covering for the day.

Offices included in this region are - Staten Island, Bay Ridge West, Dyker Heights, Bridgewater, Woodbridge, Somerset, East Brunswick, Old Bridge, Shrewsbury. Coverage can also include additional locations not mentioned above.

We offer a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package including:

This position qualifies for floater benefits including 5,000 car allowance, mileage, parking and tolls reimbursement, 75.00 per month phone reimbursement.
