Job Description:
The Director of Clinical Operations is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical operations of assigned geographies. This position is responsible for providing operational and patient care leadership while supporting the company’s overall business strategy and supports the daily implementation for all clinical operations and quality patient care related functions and performance of the assigned geography. The Director of Clinical Operations is expected to foster positive and effective working relations with senior leadership and management, local market management, and business ancillary departments for the purpose of achieving the company’s vision, mission and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in key clinical areas to support the care delivery for high-quality patient care, clinical practice compliance, quality functions, and patient experience.
- Manage and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring their adherence to clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Recruits, hires, orients, mentors, and evaluates new staff positions to meet Curana and patient needs.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage schedules for clinical staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior living facilities, collaborating with their staff to optimize care coordination and meet the unique healthcare needs of residents.
- Participate in the implementation of company-wide initiatives including value-based care models aimed at improving quality.
- Actively participate in company committees or task forces related to clinical operations, quality improvement, and patient safety, providing expertise and guidance.
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care, promoting a positive and compassionate environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and manage the clinical budget, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for cost containment or revenue enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in primary care, geriatric medicine, and senior living, incorporating evidence-based practices into clinical operations.
- Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, including physicians, healthcare organizations, community resources, and regulatory bodies.

Experience:
- Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant providing primary care, geriatric, or senior living services.
Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of primary care and geriatric medicine, including the unique healthcare needs of older adults.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Education:
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Travel Requirements:
- Some travel within the state would be required in order to visit providers and facilities
