Our Mentor Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering Lake County residents enhanced access to Cleveland Clinic, one of the nation’s top healthcare systems. With 4 operating rooms, 34 inpatient care rooms, and a helipad, we are making it easier than ever for our Lake County patients to access high-quality care close to home. Registered Nurses work collaboratively to provide top-quality and patient-centered care while ensuring the safety of their patients. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, monitoring patients’ health, assessing patients’ pain levels, administering medication and maintaining up-to-date patient records. On this nursing team, you will feel supported and appreciated for the knowledge you have to share and have access to our advanced technology and research to ensure all patients receive world-class care.

A caregiver in this position works 7am - 5:30pm, no call required.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.

Perform scrub and circulating functions.

Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Must have 1-2 years OR RN experience.
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within six months of hire.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
