As a member of the Center for Professional Practice Nursing Quality team, you will partner with leaders from all levels--C-suite to frontlines including executives, directors, managers--from around the organization to ensure our system supports nursing staff in providing the highest quality care possible. Each team member analyzes available data to define, prioritize, and achieve goals and objectives with a focus on building and defining processes that create long-lasting, positive changes to clinical outcomes.

Lead and coordinate innovative quality improvement projects that directly impact patient care outcomes.
Collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical protocols that enhance patient safety and ensure continuity of care.
Support site visits and activities to ensure nursing care delivery aligns with federal and state regulations and accreditation requirements such as CA Title 22, CMS Conditions of Participation, and The Joint Commission Standards.

The Nursing Quality Department, in particular, allows nurses to be creative, independent, and innovative in and outside of their role. This is a chance to really use your CPHQ - establish your expertise in identifying internal issues and related needs, work with operational leadership and management to troubleshoot problems, plan and implement improvement programs and procedures. Nursing Quality team members have been instrumental in improving patient outcomes by collaborating and consulting with multidisciplinary teams to reduce hospital acquired conditions and infections like falls with injury, implement protocols and EMR tools to reduce risk of patient harm like extravasation prevention, uphold patient rights through de-escalation of restraint use, and prevent medication errors through mindful design and implementation of technology.
Professional Development and Growth:
$2,000 a year in continued education funds that can be used to go to the top conference in your field, to attain advanced certifications, or to further your education.
Training in data analytics and quality improvement methodologies, as well as mentorship opportunities with experienced leaders in the field.
Support for opportunities to present and publish quality improvement work internally and externally including at quality-focused venues such as NAHQ, Next, IHI Forum, AONL Annual Meeting, and Sigma.

A Brief Overview
The Quality Management Coordinator facilitates the planning, development, implementation and assessment of clinical quality assurance and quality improvement in the Department of Patient Care Services (PCS).

What you will do
- Acts as liaison to other departments for the purpose of identifying and resolving quality improvement activities. Facilitates inter and intradepartmental communication about quality improvement.
- Acts as PCS resource on regulatory requirements and on quality improvement processes.
- Assists PCS management in identifying opportunities and interventions for improvement based on the needs of internal and external customers.
- Assumes responsibility for professional self development. Quality of work reflects high professional and ethical standards.
- Communicates effectively to maintain positive working relationships and achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrates the ability to consider age-appropriate issues when dealing with quality improvement.
- Develops, implements, and/or evaluates quality assurance and quality improvement projects/processes in order to continually monitor and improve patient care.
- Participates in or leads work groups in special projects as assigned.
- Works collaboratively to guide and influence the course of change.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
Experience Qualifications
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Nursing / RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $72.55 - $96.15 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
