We are seeking applicants for either an LPN-1, LPN-2, or LPN-3 WAE (PRN Nurse) positions across some of our outpatient behavioral health facilities, which may include clinics in the following locations:- Mandeville (may also assist in Slidell as needed)
- Hammond (may also assist in Denham Springs as needed)
- Bogalusa

This posting is for multiple vacancies at each level and will be filled as Part-Time PRN positions ONLY (WAE positions) at the appropriate level based on the applicant's experience. This is not a career progression posting.Movement to higher levels is subject to experience requirements and agency discretion.Part-time Classified WAE appointments shall not exceed 1245 hours in a 12-month period. Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s). Click on each job title below to view minimum qualifications and other information for each level:- LPN 1 - WAE: $20.00/hour minimum - $28.90/hour maximum
- LPN 2 - WAE: $21.50/hour minimum - $30.92/hour maximum
- LPN 3 - WAE: $23.00/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOTthe maximum amount usually offered to new hires.An additional premium pay of $1.00/hour may be applied hour for hour working in direct patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.Function of Work:
To provide basic nursing care to patients/clients in stable conditions and in predictable situations in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act.
Level of Work:
Entry.
Supervision Received:
Close from a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse of a higher level.
Supervision Exercised:
May exercise functional supervision over paraprofessional nursing personnel.
Location of Work:
Statewide--health care facilities; correctional facilities.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Practical Nurse--Licensed, 2 by the absence of journeyman level assignments and independent performance of duties.This nursing position provides direct nursing care to clients receiving treatment for mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or medical illness, and is responsible for performing individualized direct client care. This position performs standard nursing services, which may include the following: administering prescribed medications, performing injections, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for new clients, participating as an active member of an inter-disciplinary Treatment Team, etc.
