Mount Carmel Dublin will be an innovative medical ambulatory campus directly tailored to the needs of the Dublin community and surrounding suburbs. Services provided:
- 24-bay emergency department
- 60 acute inpatient beds
- 4 operating rooms
- Level 1 cardiac capability
- Advanced imaging, and other outpatient testing
- Attached MOB
The attached medical office building will provide a community education space in addition to clinic space for:
- Primary Care, Neurology
- Cardiology
- Vascular
- Other independent specialists
Mount Carmel plans to extend its community health and well-being programs into the Dublin community as well.
This position will be hired to staff Mount Carmel Dublin. While construction is underway, the majority of training will take place at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s located at 500 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081. We are expecting Mount Carmel Dublin to open Spring of 2025.

About the Unit:
The Inpatient Unit at Mount Carmel Dublin is a 30-bed, state of the art, patient care area designed to provide the ultimate patient experience. Twenty-six beds are dedicated to the Med/Surg and Intermediate levels of care, while 4 beds are dedicated Intensive Care Unit beds. Patient care assignments will be based on the acuity levels of the patients.
The patient rooms have been created to promote a holistic healing environment. We encourage family participation throughout the stay. There is the ability to utilize tele-health to enhance care needs. Multidisciplinary Rounds (MDRs) will occur on a daily basis to ensure that all patient needs are addressed and met. Ultimately, we want to ensure our patients are discharged home in a timely manner, to allow an expedient return to their normal daily routine. Our patients should experience our Vision, which is to be “the most trusted health partner for life.”

About the job:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides administrative support and patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs under the direction of a Provider or RN.
What you will do:
- Exhibits each of the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards holding self and others accountable and role modeling excellence for all to see. - Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.
- Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
- Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
- Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
- DELEGATION: Directs unlicensed staff in work related activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates the ability to manage the patient assignment effectively.

- EDUCATION: Provides patient/family education under the direction of the Registered Nurse
- CONTINUITY PLANNING: In conjunction with the physician and RN, identifies discharge needs, participates in planning and completes continuity of care forms as appropriate.
- COLLABORATION: Collaborates with Providers, house staff, Registered Nurses, and other health care disciplines regarding patient care.
- SAFE PRACTICE: Performs treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Verifies and implements physician/other licensed independent practitioner’s orders. Administers medications, according to the organization’s standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines. Initiates appropriate emergency procedures within the scope of practice under the direction of the RN/physician. Practices proper patient identification procedures. Maintains equipment appropriate to the care environment. Establishes priorities for the delivery of nursing care and meets patient needs.
- DOCUMENTATION: Documents accurately and completely pertinent information/data in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Utilizes computer systems effectively, including. ATK. Systems appropriate to area. Registrar. Appropriate use of Internet/Intranet.
- INITIATIVE: Takes responsibility to facilitate improvements in patient services, staff/physician relationships and the working climate. Is responsible/accountable for professional development and maintaining licensure requirements. Takes responsibility for own education.

What we are looking for:
- Education: Graduate of School of Practical Nursing
- Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of an LPN IV therapy course with proof of certification Through one of the following.
1. LPN curriculum (i.e. part of Ohio’s required curriculum)
2. National certification (i.e. NAPNES)
3. Through IV training course that includes pharmacology at a hospital
