Surgical Specialty Center of Mid Atlantic, is seeking a motivated PreOP PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. Surgical Specialty Center of Mid Atlantic is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

- Must be able to perform Pre-OP/PACU Nursing duties independently with a year of experience.

- Must have current MD or Compact RN License, BLS and ACLS certifications.

- Shifts typically 10hr days for ex... 0600-1600, 0700-1700 and 0800-1900

-Shifts based on OR schedule

Salary Range: Min $49.50 to Max $50.00

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
