Requirements
Education, Training, or Certifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a CCMA, RMA, or CMA program, with national CCMA, RMA, or CMA certification
- BLS certification
Experience Required:
- Experience in customer service
- Medical office experience preferred
Special Requirements:
- Emotional maturity and good people skills
- Ability to work with distressed or anxious patients or family members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of different employees
- Team-focused, with the ability to support the team
- Intermittent weekend coverage required
Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to process and apply clinical information in various patient care situations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective listening skills to route patients and employees to appropriate personnel
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs
- Adequate hearing, vision, and manual dexterity
- Ability to assist patients in rising from exam tables, push wheelchair patients, and assist patients in rising from and returning to wheelchairs
- Physically able to perform CPR

Additional Job Information:
- Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday
- Work with CeCelia Mailhot, FNP at NEHC
- Responsibilities include rooming patients, prepping charts, vaccine administration, providing ear lavages, assisting in wound care, medication and supply ordering, assisting provider in calling patients with results, maintaining daily temperature, medication, and safety equipment logs, maintaining weekly and monthly eye rinsing station logs, and Point Of Care lab test quality checks
- Must be a strong, experienced MA and skilled phlebotomist
- Team player with a flexible personality
- Required to learn the workflows of Reception as a ‘back up’
