Responsibilities Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Part-time Opportunity
Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (and part of the UHS Healthcare System) and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently looking to fill 2 part-time (20 hours per week) Outpatient RN positions.
The Outpatient nurse performs under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services with Director of Nursing supervision in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. This position requires a LPN with preference given to an RN. If the position is held by a LPN then an RN must be available within the facility to complete nursing assessments of any admission. Non-exempt position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: RN or LPN Graduate from an accredited professional school of nursing, preferably RN.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a RN or LPN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR/First Aid certification and successful completion of CPI, including restraint and seclusion procedures, and prior to assisting in restraining process.
Hours of Work: 7:30 AM TO 4:00 PM and other times as indicated by immediate supervisor. Part-time schedule will be discussed with candidate. (20 hours per week!)

Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current license to practice nursing in Indiana.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
- Assists in patient nursing care to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physiological need of patients served.
