What You'll Do
- Coordinate and direct the care of residents on a Hearthstone Household; ensuring appropriate communication with physicians and other healthcare providers to manage medical needs and maintain open communication with the resident and their family.
- Participate in the Care Plan process, work with the Interdisciplinary Team to provide individualized, wholistic, quality care to each resident.
- Coordinate the resident admission process with the assistance of Social Work and other Nursing staff.
- Assist with pre-screening of residents for admission to ensure appropriate placement and good customer service.
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services with staffing, staff performance evaluations, payroll responsibilities, and other administrative processes.
- Assist with the budgeting process for the nursing department.
- Keep the Director of Nursing Services apprised of pertinent information regarding resident care.
What You Need
- Current nursing knowledge of gerontology.
- Ability to plan and evaluate total nursing care.
- Strong leadership ability.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Professional conduct, service excellence, flexibility, and respect for resident confidentiality.
- Graduation from an accredited professional school of nursing and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska.
- Current BLS certification.
