Job Title: School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Full time (Contract)

Job Summary: We are hiring a LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our team as a member of a healthcare staff . As the school LPN you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare support and ensuring the well-being of our students. You will need to be able to administer medical care, monitor student health, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Administer first aid, medications, and prescribed treatments to students as per medical guidelines and individual care plans.
Monitor and assess student health conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being.
Provide emergency care and respond promptly to medical incidents or accidents within the school premises.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions.
Promote a positive and nurturing environment by fostering open communication and trust among students, staff, and parents.
Stay updated with current healthcare practices, policies, and regulations relevant to the school setting.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications:

Valid LPN license issued by the state of Massachusetts.
Proficient in providing basic healthcare services, administering medications, and handling medical emergencies.
Strong observational and assessment skills to recognize changes in student health conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced school environment.
Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and student privacy laws.
CPR and first aid certification required.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature when working with children.
