Job Overview

The Registered Nurse Vaccine Specialist ensures the organization adheres to standard requirements of all government supported vaccine programs we participate in. The Specialist is a system resource and expert for interpretation of ACIP vaccine recommendations as well as responsible for providing consultative services to AltaMed staff and providers to ensure compliance of standards for vaccine administration and organizational compliance. In addition, the Specialist develops and reviews all vaccine policies and ensures polices are standing orders. Not limited to providing education to staff on ACIP recommended vaccines/immunization schedules, government funded vaccine program requirements and vaccine inventory management.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred

2. Current valid License as a Registered Nurse through the California Board of Registered Nursing required.

3. Minimum three to five years’ experience in health care field related to similar work.

4. Electronic Health Record experience. EPIC experience preferred.

5. Must have knowledge and experience with vaccine administration and CDC Immunization schedules. Prefer experience with inventory management and VFC program requirements.

6. Quality and process improvement experience preferred.

7. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Compensation

$103,101.44 - $128,876.80 annually

The range is subject to change.
