Department: Operating Room / Surgery
Schedule: Full Time / Day Shift / M-F varied hours between 0530-1530 with some call commitment on nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assiss with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Prefer prior Cardiac Surgical Tech experience but minimum of 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
