We are hiring experienced pediatric ICU nurses, but if you are a nurse with adult ICU experience looking to transition to the world of pediatric ICU, our RN Transition to Practice Program will support you in your journey. We are currently accepting applications for the
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
We are hiring experienced NICU nurses, but if you are a nurse with adult or pediatric inpatient experience looking to transition to the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), our "New To NICU" program within the Anschutz Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will support you in your journey.
Hourly Range: $36.43 to $48.70 per hour
Eligible Incentives
- Up to $4,400 in relocation benefits (100 mi. or greater) for qualifying positions - amount depends on where you're moving from.
Hours per week: Multiple FTEs available depending on level of relevant experience. Must work 20 hours/week to be eligible for benefits .
Shift: Rotating and straight nights available depending on level of relevant experience.

Qualifications
- EDUCATION – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- EXPERIENCE –One year nursing experience.
- EQUIVALENCY- Applicants with an Associate's Degree in Nursing who agree to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BSN) within 3 years from their start date may be considered.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S) – Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Critical Care Units - ICU
- Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level 4, 82-bed regional referral center for the seven-state region with a platinum-level designation for ECMO. We treat neonate, infant and pediatric patients less than 2 years old with conditions including hypoxemic respiratory failure, infections, hematological, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic disorders, single major or multiple anomalies requiring diagnostic work-up and/or surgical intervention. We provide continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), renal dialysis and body cooling for neonates among many other therapies to provide the highest level of neonatal care to infants and their families. Are you an experienced adult nurse looking to transition to the world of pediatrics? Our Pediatric Nursing Transition to Practice Programs will support you in your journey. We are currently accepting applications for the
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
The PICU and CICU are currently interviewing candidates wtih ICU experience (pediatric and/or adult). Start dates in Fall/Winter 2024/2025.
- The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides care for children with life-threatening illnesses as well as those who are at serious risk for life threatening complications. We care for children from birth to 21 years of age. Patients treated here are experiencing multi-organ system failure, acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, meningitis, septic shock, near drowning, diabetic ketoacidosis, renal and/or hepatic failure, oncology/bone marrow transplant or airway management, among other needs. Major diagnostic categories include respiratory, neurologic, injury/poisoning, trauma, oncologic and infectious disease. The PICU also provides care for patients receiving solid organ transplant as well as neurosurgical, burn, orthopedic, ENT and general pediatric surgical patients. Patients in the PICU are cared for by a multidisciplinary team including pediatric intensivists, RNs and dedicated PICU respiratory therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers and child life specialists. - Our esteemed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit recently received the gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the AACN (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses) ! There are only 15 PICUs in the nation with this designation, and our hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus is the only PICU in Colorado that has received this award. - The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) provides care for children with congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and acquired heart disease, serving patients from neonate through adulthood (for adults with congenital heart disease).
