Position Type: Full-Time
Caseload: Certified School Nurse for Health Room; Middle School & High School
Pay range: $40+/hr; depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Provide professional nursing care, assessment, and treatment for students with illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions during school hours.
Administer prescribed medications and manage medication administration records in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, collaborating with parents, physicians, and school staff to create and implement individualized health care plans.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and initiating appropriate protocols.
Conduct health screenings, including vision, hearing, and other required assessments, to ensure early detection and intervention.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, adhering to privacy regulations and school policies.
Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other relevant personnel to create a healthy and safe school environment.
Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential.
Strong clinical skills and ability to assess and manage various health conditions.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with students of all ages.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of state and federal health regulations and their application in a school setting.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing is a plus.
