Our 64-bed NEUROSCIENCE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT 4/5NNA specializes in treating patients with neurological injuries and diseases that may require endovascular intervention brain and spinal tumors subarachnoid hemorrhages and neuro-trauma patients. Our patient and family-centered care model reflects our mission: Dedicated to patients Committed to Excellence. The staff work in partnership with our patients and their families to provide excellent care based on evidence and best practices. We strive for success by promoting a safe and healthy work environment and support continued education for our staff. As a Center of Excellence for Neuroscience we have the largest number of Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurses (CNRN) in the country. Many of our nurses hold national certification in critical care as well. We are very proud of our accomplishments and looking forward to a bright future!
Position Summary:
- Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care.
- Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.
- Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
- Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization.
- It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
- The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

QualificationsMinimum:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
Licensure:
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification - Nat'l
Preferred:
- One year recent acute care experience.
Special Skills:
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic Computer Skills.
