Peachford Hospital is searching for caring and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) with experience or interest in psychiatric nursing, behavioral health or addictive disease treatment for our Adolescent Girls Unit. Sign-On Bonuses are offered for full time positions.
What Role Will You Play On the Female Adolescent Units?
Many children and adolescents suffer with mental illnesses ranging from severe depression to personality disorders and other psychiatric problems. Some may become defiant, withdrawn or even suicidal. Drug and alcohol addiction are becoming more serious among teenagers and can easily destroy young lives. Our Adolescent Treatment Programs are geared toward helping adolescents increase self-esteem and take responsibility for their behavior without turning to drugs or alcohol for help.
Registered Nurses (RNs) on the Child or Adolescent Units at Peachford deliver quality nursing care to children and adolescents and play a pivotal role in the treatment planning process as well as patient and family education.
What Will You Get To Do?
Registered Nurses (RN) are assigned these and/or similar tasks:
- Keeping our patients safe.
- Assessing patient’s needs through daily interaction with the patient and other health care providers.
- Developing a comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment plans and monitoring patient’s progress toward meeting treatment plan goals.
- Administering medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Providing comfort and care while following policies, procedures and standard nursing protocols.
- Communicating changes in patient’s status with attending physician.

Qualifications What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
A valid State of Georgia Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License or eNLC License from a participating state and one year of nursing experience is required. Previous psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is helpful but not required.
