Southeast Behavioral Hospital is excited to begin offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Southeast Missouri. Our 102-provides a wide range of mental, emotional and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and seniors experiencing mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and co-occurring substance use issues. Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and performance and improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s, and MHTs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all nursing staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience progressive nursing leadership experience. Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices and procedures and 24 hour shift staffing experience.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification within 30 days of employment and successful completion of training in Verbal De-Escalation and Handle With Care training. Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment.
