Registered Nurse (RN) - Ortho/Neuro/Trauma
Full-time - 630pm - 7am
3 East is a fast-paced 28 bed adult medical/surgical unit that specializes in providing care to patients with orthopedic related issues, neurosurgical procedures, and patients who have sustained traumatic injuries. Our skills are diverse so we also care for a vast array of other general medical issues. Our nurses are comfortable working with many medical devices including NG tubes, chest tubes, lumbar drains, JP, Hemovac drains, etc. Our nurses are required to remain proficient in trauma care with the completion of a basic trauma comprehensive course within first year of hire and then four trauma hours annually. The unit has capability for cardiac monitoring for every patient room, so our nurses complete and maintain competency in reading cardiac rhythms. We work with and develop trusting relationships with providers from many specialties. Nurses and CNA’s work closely together to develop a personal connection with our patients so they feel comfortable and confident during their stay. We want to provide patients and their families with high quality, personal care and make sure that their stay with us is the best it can be.
