Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $138,974.50 - $180,666.85. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Part-Time Nurse Practitioner – Dr. Cicccone
3 days a week
This position is based in Uniondale, Long Island.
Dr. Jeffrey Ciccone treats a wide array of conditions with focus on acute and chronic pain management. He specializes in interventional spine, sports and musculoskeletal medicine and procedures, with particular interest in advancing the field of neuromodulation (nerve stimulation).
His expertise in spine and musculoskeletal techniques includes epidural and facet blocks, joint and nerve injections, tendon and soft tissue injections using various imaging guidance including fluoroscopy and ultrasonography. He is also highly experienced in spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, platelet-rich plasma techniques and radiofrequency ablation techniques. He has developed keen interest and clinical acumen in employing multimodal therapies using technological advances in conjunction with physical therapy, lifestyle modification and rehabilitative techniques.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our medical team in a unique role that combines clinical support with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our healthcare practice by assisting in patient care patient visits, managing prior authorizations, and providing vital support within the office environment. This multifaceted position offers the opportunity to contribute to patient well-being while also contributing to the smooth functioning of our practice.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Support, Documentation and Note Writing:
• Perform telehealth and in-person visits for returning patients to oversee continuing care and improvement in patient conditions following interventional procedures.
• Provide clinical oversight of the practice while the physician is away.
• Collaborate with the physician to accurately document patient encounters, including medical history, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure clinical documentation adheres to established guidelines, legal and regulatory standards, and the principles of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive patient records to facilitate communication and continuity of care among the healthcare team.
Clerical:
• Interface with insurance companies and pharmacies to obtain prior authorizations and conduct peer-to-peers for medications, procedures, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collect and organize relevant medical information to support the prior authorization process, including medical records, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans.
• Participate in administrative tasks, such as managing patient records, answering phones, billing and coding assistance, and other clerical duties as required.
• Provide backup coverage for administrative staff when needed due to vacations or illnesses.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NYS state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
• Additional NJ and/or CT state licensure preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing practices.
• Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Experience with prior authorization processes and insurance protocols is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Collaborative and adaptable team player.
