WORK SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, with some call responsibilities on weekends
Day shifts
RNs work a mix of 3 day workweeks and 4 day workweeks; the exact days worked may vary each week
Position is part time / 70% FTE DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Radiation Oncology provides care to patients of all ages - including pediatric patients - who are undergoing radiation therapy for cancer. Our radiation therapy services have been consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s best. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Provide life-changing treatment for cancer patients
Work a flexible schedule in a position offering work-life balance PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager to triage and prioritize patient needs
Serves in a roving role, addressing emergent situations as they arise throughout the shift
Supports multiple providers
Provides short-term and long-term staffing coverage when other RNs are on leave
Educates patients and their families on symptom management
Assists in complex care coordination and continuity of care referrals
Supports patients undergoing TBI prior to transplant
Documents patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic)
Performs phone triage
Answers patient calls and eCare messages
Monitors patient flow in the clinic REQUIREMENTS
3 years of recent oncology, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
Active BLS
Must be willing to work with pediatric patients
