The PACU at our facility boasts 20 PACU Spaces, specializing in post-anesthesia care following surgery and endoscopy. In 2023, we proudly celebrated 1 Daisy Award winner, showcasing our commitment to excellence. Our team members have opportunities for certifications such as Certified Perianesthesia Nurse, and Trauma Certification. Our unit culture is defined by a small team with an extended family environment, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork with both peers and providers.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

Become a Certified Perianesthesia nurse
Develop phenomenal procedural skills
Understand the world of surgical services from Pre/Post, OR room, Endo, PACU, and more
Refine time management skills

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
