Registered Nurse - Radiology - Full Time

Practice the art and science of evidence-based nursing at New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Lead the charge in improving the patient care experience. The RN is responsible for: patient care through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being and executing medical regimens prescribed by a provider credentialed by the medical staff; collecting comprehensive data on patients’ health status; analyzing data to determine needs; identifying expected outcomes; developing individualized care plans; implementing and evaluating the plan; and managing care delivery, including coordinating care to a group of patients, directing ancillary staff, assessing discharge needs, providing teaching and leadership while working cooperatively with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team; improving care delivery through a disciplined EBP process; carrying out goals and objectives of the Patient Services Department within the mission of NYP/HVH. The RN functions within the Scope of Practice of the NYS Nurse Practice Act, NYP/HVH policies and procedures, and standards set by professional organizations and regulatory agencies.

This is a full time 4 days (10hrs)with weekend requirements a week position. Located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.

Preferred Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Critical Care experience

Required Criteria

Two years of acute care RN experience in
Excellent communication and organizational skills required
Current New York State RN license
BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications; Specialty certification a plus
