About the unit

Corewell Health outpatient Gastroenterology, located at 1179 E Paris Ave, Suite 200, in Grand Rapids has an opening for a Procedural Registered Nurse for their Endoscopy team. This full time position will work 40 hours per week, during the hours of 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays.

Scope of work

Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of an assigned group of patients. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient's responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree Nursing or Equivalent Required
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
ACLS Required within 180 days
1 year of experience as an RN working in a similar space strongly Preferred
