Responsibilities
Ascension Providence is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Express Care clinic system.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at our three Express Care clinics located in Waco, TX.
Position Highlights:
- 12 Hour shifts (clinic is open 8 am - 8 pm)
- Integrated Electronic Medical Record system with entire physician network

Responsibilities:
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
- Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
• 1 year of experience preferred.
