Demonstrate a customer service approach in all activities with internal and external customers.
Quality Advisors for project teams/focus groups:
- Facilitates utilizing QI/PI objective strategies
- Team dynamics and mission focus.
Compiles and analyzes QI audits/surveys and reports into a quarterly summary report.
Works collaboratively with Clinical Management to oversee patient complaint process including the collection, trending and analysis of data.
Review and process Additional Development Requests (ADRs) (Appropriateness of care) including TPE’s, RAC’s and Cert audits.
Organize and manage the infection Prevention Committee including working collaboratively with Public Health and providing surveillance, data collection, and education on infection prevention.
Conduct Occurrence Report investigations/data collection, including full chart audits with assessment analysis of staff performance in relation to best practice and support for Risk Management.
Supports agency appeal process in coordination and response to the QIO in coordination with Clinical Team Manager.
Oversees and manages regulatory notices including NOMNC, HHABN, HHCCN by conducting audits and providing applicable education.
Conducts Clinical Record review, potentially avoidable event audits and DPH/Jt Commission/CMS follow-up audits.
Oversight of the QI department in the absence of the Manager of Quality
Provides education to clinicians based on results of auditing and in coordination with Education dept.
Clinical Record Forms – new document development, analysis.
Develops and maintains OASIS data collection and analysis from chart reviews. Provides support in the auditing and analysis of Oasis Date.
Participation in internal and external meetings as designated by the Director.
Other duties as assigned.
Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.

Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts.
BSN or equivalent preferred.
Oasis Certification or willingness to obtain certification
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines as indicated by documentation. Proficient in clinical documentation and knowledge of regulatory guidelines for Medicare as demonstrated by performance.
Three (3) years nursing experience including two (2) years community health nursing experience.
Experience in Infection Control is preferred
Experience in auditing, data collection, trending, presentation of data and utilization of quality performance tools is preferred.
Experience in education is preferred.

Purpose of Position

To advise and facilitate teams/individuals in performance improvement initiatives and to assist with development, collection and analysis of indicators that objectively measure the progress toward and maintenance of the mission and goal of teams/organization. To respond to fiscal intermediary's request for information. Advise individual and teams in areas for improvement based on objective measures and customer satisfaction. Work collaboratively with other QI nurses to meet agency initiatives.

Schedule Details

37.5 hours per week, 8a-4p, Monday-Friday, No weekends, No holidays
