Job Summary and Qualifications

Do you have a passion for Womens Health? Join our Womens Service Line as a Float Pool RN! Experience our Labor & Delivery,BirthCareCenter, Postpartum, andHigh Riskunits as you float tohelp outeach unit. The float pool team is achieving excellence in their field every day. Join this team of professionals and take your career to the next level.
What you will do in this role:
- You will be responsible for delivering patient-centered nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- You will systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participation in quality of care activities to initiate, implement, and sustain process improvements.
- You will provide hands on clinical support for nurses
- You will help manager nursing operation around patient care activities, assist in mentoring, teaching and supporting clinical nursing staff.
- You will adhere to clinical policies, protocols, regulations and standards.
- You will be collaborating with the patient, significant others and health care providers in providing and advocating for patient care.
- You will consistently set an example of excellence in clinical practice.
- You will monitor the patient’s progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- You will be participating in the improvement of operational functions of the department.
- You will establish and maintain effective and respectful communication in development of all collaborative relationships.
What qualifications you will need for this role:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure in the State of Kansas a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- 2+ years of labor and delivery, fetal monitoring, and newborn stabilization and care
