Job Description:

A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The Director of Nursing will oversee daily nursing operations, develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, and collaborate with healthcare staff to maintain a safe, effective, and positive environment for patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction for all nursing services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Develop, implement, and manage nursing policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain a high standard of care.
Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and conducting performance reviews.
Monitor and improve patient care programs by implementing quality assurance initiatives.
Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and staff to coordinate care plans for patients.
Ensure that all nursing activities are aligned with the company’s goals, vision, and mission.
Oversee the management of patient records and ensure accurate documentation of care.
Develop and manage the nursing department's budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
Participate in staff meetings and work closely with the administration to support overall facility goals.
Ensure the nursing department remains compliant with infection control and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
