Job Title: Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

Department: Allied Pacific Urgent Care Center

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, full-time Medical Assistant to assist our Urgent Care Centers. This role will report to the Office Manager and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Do:

Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician
Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records
Clinical duties may include, such as preparing a treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart
Interviews patients to obtain their medical history \
Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications:

One (1) or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
Active and unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or LVN license in California
High school diploma or GED

You're great for this role if:

Prior experience working in urgent care
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position is located in-office. We have openings in Monterey Park, Arcadia, City of Industry, and El Monte. Cross-coverage is required across all clinic locations.
The urgent cares are open 9 A - 9 P M-F, as well as 9 A - 5 P on Saturday and Sunday. This is a full-time position and requires 72-80 hours per pay period, with the expectation to work one weekend per pay period. Shifts will be 12 hours M-F, 8 hours on Saturday/Sunday.
The total compensation target pay range for this role is $21 - $23 per hour. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
