The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, The Carolina Center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient’s condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment. Job Responsibilities-
· Participates in treatment planning: (a) helps identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths; (b) suggesting modifications to treatment plan based on observations of patients’ behavior; (c) providing input into discharge planning
· Participates in implementing patients’ treatment plans by; (a) monitoring patients’ progress; (b) communicating information regarding patients’ behavior to other members of treatment team; (c) maintaining communication with patient, family members and referral sources in patient’s interest; (d) facilitating or co-facilitating didactic groups, community meetings, or drug or alcohol education groups; (e) encouraging and facilitating patients’ participation in therapeutic activities; (f) supervising patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in treatment; (g) providing input during shift report.
· Updates treatment care plans.
· Assists dietary staff in identifying patients on special diets and assuring patients’ compliance with dietary orders.
· Administers patient medications prescribed by physician.
· Helps maintain the therapeutic milieu on the unit, including, but not limited to, facilitation of community meetings.
· Maintains patient, program, department and related documentation.
· Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients.
· Effectively manages psychiatric crisis emergency situations.
Qualifications Qualifications:
LPN Program Completion from an accredited School of Nursing required. CPR training will be provided. South Carolina LPN license with current registration required. Multi-state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.
