Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Health Care Technician provides close monitoring to assigned residents, assures the safety of residents, and ensures document care is rendered completely and accurately.
Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC) is a certified Medicare and Medicaid facility nursing home that provides a continuum of care to both adults with severe and persistent mental illness that also have long-term medical conditions requiring residential, medical and nursing care, and to adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or other related dementia. LNMTC facilitates high quality skilled and intermediate nursing care throughout four Nursing Unit Floors and an Alzheimer's Unit that operates 24 hours seven days a week, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. The usual work schedule includes alternating holidays. Flexibility is required for training and education purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.
Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview and will depend on staffing needs. In addition to our standard work schedules listed below, alternative schedules may be available.
Shift Premium Pay for 8 Hour Shifts:
Saturday and Sunday Day Shift: 5%
Saturday and Sunday Evening Shift: 15%
Monday - Friday Evening: 10%;
Friday, Saturday, Sunday Night Shift: 15%
Monday - Thursday Night Shift: 10%

ELIGIBILITY FOR SIGN-ON BONUS
Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:
A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
- the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
- the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency;
- or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
