Job Title: School Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Caseload with Transport Duties

Location: Newton, Massachusetts

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a school setting, providing personalized care with a 1:1 student caseload. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our students throughout their school day, including during transportation to and from school.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care and health supervision to a designated student with specific medical needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Monitor and assess the student's health status regularly, documenting observations and maintaining accurate medical records.
Collaborate closely with parents/guardians, school staff, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and adherence to healthcare plans.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency action plans (EAPs) as needed.
Accompany and provide medical oversight during transportation to and from school, ensuring the safety and comfort of the student.
Educate school staff, students, and families on health-related topics and procedures.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
